**‘The Work Won’t Stop’: Kiz Johnson Sets Out Agenda After St. Philip’s South Victory**

Newly elected representative for St. Philip’s South Kiz Johnson says she is ready to move quickly from campaigning to delivery, outlining early priorities for infrastructure, housing and education following her election.

Speaking shortly after her victory, Johnson focused on what comes next, pledging what she described as “excellent representation” for constituents.

“We’re ready to begin stepping up to serve the people of St. Philip’s South… they deserve excellent representation,” she said.

Johnson signalled that work in the constituency is already underway and will continue without pause.

“We have already begun the work, and so the work won’t stop,” she said.

Among her immediate priorities are strengthening infrastructure, improving roads, and expanding access to affordable housing within the constituency.

“We will continue to build stronger infrastructure… we’re moving into getting affordable homes for the people in St. Philip’s South,” she said.

She also pointed to education as a key focus, announcing that four residents will benefit from new scholarship opportunities.

“I’ve just secured four 10-week scholarships for four residents who will have an opportunity to attend the University of the West Indies,” Johnson said, describing the initiative as part of an ongoing push to expand access to education.

Reflecting on her first electoral victory, Johnson credited the support of constituents and party members, describing the people of St. Philip’s South as central to her success.

“I could not have done this without the people… I am who I am because of them,” she said.

Johnson also noted the broader significance of her election, joining a small number of women in Parliament, as she prepares to take up her role in the next sitting of the House.

With the election concluded, her focus now shifts to translating campaign promises into action, as she begins her tenure representing St. Philip’s South.
