The United Progressive Party (UPP) is inviting members, supporters and well-wishers to a Labour Day gathering scheduled for Monday, May 4, at Ffryes Beach.

According to promotional material circulated by the party, the event will begin at noon and is being positioned as a day of “unity, relaxation and celebration” following the April 30 general election.

Organizers say the family-friendly activity will feature music, food and social engagement, with supporters encouraged to attend in party colours. The event is open to individuals of all ages.

The UPP, which campaigned under the slogan “People First,” is using the occasion to bring together its base for fellowship and reflection in the aftermath of the national polls.

Labour Day, observed annually in Antigua and Barbuda, is traditionally marked by political rallies and social events hosted by major parties.
