ST JOHN’S, Antigua — Road improvement works continued across Antigua and Barbuda throughout April, with authorities reporting steady progress on major infrastructure projects, including the ongoing rehabilitation of All Saints Road.

Officials said the nationwide programme remains on track, supported by financing from a US$100 million road loan, which is expected to accelerate upgrades to community roads while work continues on key transport corridors.

The All Saints Road project, one of the flagship undertakings, has shown consistent advancement over the past month, as crews maintain construction activity along the busy route.

The Ministry of Works, along with the Project Implementation Management Unit (PIMU), contractors, and supporting agencies, including APUA and the Antigua and Barbuda Transport Board (ABTB), have been engaged in executing the works.

Authorities acknowledged that the scale of the upgrades has caused some disruption to daily traffic and community movement, and thanked the public for its patience and cooperation during the construction period.

The government has indicated that road development efforts will intensify in the coming months as additional funding is deployed, with a focus on improving both major roadways and secondary community routes across the country.
