Barbuda’s annual Caribana celebrations will return from May 21 to May 25, 2026, with a packed schedule of cultural events, music, food and entertainment across the sister island.
The festivities begin on Thursday, May 21, with an opening parade at 2 p.m., followed by Kids Fest at 3 p.m. and the Junior Calypso Monarch competition at 8 p.m.
Activities continue on Friday, May 22, with Wheels United – Park & Lime at 11 a.m., before the Calypso/Soca Monarch competition gets underway at 8:30 p.m.
Saturday’s lineup includes the Spritz & Sun Seafood Fest and the Johnny DeSouza Fishing Tournament from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., followed by the Caribana Colors Fete from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Horse racing fans can look forward to the Caribana Classic Horse Racing event on Sunday, May 24, starting at 1 p.m.
The celebrations wrap up on Monday, May 25, with J’Ouvert from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by Last Lap festivities from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Caribana is one of Barbuda’s biggest cultural festivals and is expected to attract residents, visitors and returning nationals for several days of entertainment and celebration.
