    Ministry of Health Mourns Death of National Solid Waste Worker Killed on Duty

    The Ministry of Health has expressed condolences following the death of a member of the National Solid Waste Management Authority’s beautification team who was fatally struck by a motor vehicle while carrying out roadside duties.

    In a statement issued after the incident, the ministry said it was deeply saddened by the tragedy and extended sympathy to the worker’s family, friends, colleagues and loved ones.

    Officials described the deceased as a hardworking member of the authority’s beautification team and acknowledged the impact the incident has had on co-workers and the wider community.

    The ministry also called on the public to keep those affected in their thoughts and prayers during what it described as a difficult time.

    The fatal incident has renewed concerns about the dangers faced by roadside workers while carrying out maintenance and beautification duties across the country.
