Abigail Piper to Represent Antigua and Barbuda at Miss Caribbean Universe 2026
Abigail Piper will represent Antigua and Barbuda at the Miss Caribbean Universe 2026 pageant scheduled for June 13 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Piper, 27, enters the regional competition with more than a decade of pageant experience and a background that spans academics, the performing arts and youth development.
Her pageantry journey began in 2014 when she was named first runner-up in the Christ the King High School Queen of the Forms Pageant. She later won Teen Splash in 2016 and most recently placed second runner-up in the Antigua Labour Queen Pageant and first runner-up in Antigua’s Queen of Carnival Pageant.
Academically, Piper graduated from Christ the King High School with 14 subjects, including 11 Grade Ones and three Grade Twos. She earned an associate degree in entrepreneurship with honors from Antigua State College before completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with distinction from Rutgers University in 2022. She is currently pursuing her goal of becoming a Certified Public Accountant.
Piper has also established herself in the performing arts. She has appeared in productions by the Antigua Film Academy, performs as a member of the band de Alphas, and has represented Antigua and Barbuda as a national cheerleader. Her contributions to the performing arts were recognized with a National Cultural Award in 2017.
She credits music, dance and drama with helping to shape her confidence, discipline and stage presence. Her experiences as a performer, student leader and pageant contestant have strengthened her communication skills and ability to connect with diverse audiences.
Beyond the stage, Piper has focused on youth empowerment through education and personal development. She has committed herself to promoting financial literacy among young people and recently conducted a primary school tour in the St. John’s Rural North constituency. During the initiative, she spoke with students about time management, financial literacy and academic focus, while donating child-friendly financial literacy books to school libraries.
Piper said she hopes her journey will encourage others to pursue their dreams with determination, embrace their talents and use their knowledge to uplift their communities.
She will compete for the Miss Caribbean Universe 2026 crown on June 13 at the Ruth E. Thomas Auditorium in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas.
