Antigua Trades Labour Union
Tribute
On behalf of the Executive Committee, Staff and Members of the Antigua & Barbuda Trades and Labour Union (AT&LU), I express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the late Cde. Cheryl Mary-Clare Hurst.
Comrade Hurst was a great daughter of the soil that represented the Movement of Labour wholistically and had the embedded passion and dedication to protect worker’s rights throughout the length and breadth of our twin island Nation of Antigua and Barbuda.
The AT&LU was a part of her, and she always included the principles and values of the Union in her daily duties of being General Secretary of the ABLP, Minister of State, Senator and even as a Choir Member of ABLP.
I pray that the divinity the Holy Ghost transcend our dear comrade to the great beyond.
Moreover, the prophetic belief of the scripture taken from John 16:22 states: “So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.”
The AT&LU is forever indebted and appreciates and value the legacy of Cde. Hurst because of her dedication, support and loyalty to the Trade Labour Movement and the Working Class.
May the Almighty Father continue to comfort the Hurst family in this time bereavement and may the soul of the late Cheryl Mary-Clare Hurst rest in perpetual peace.
Yours in Comradeship,
Bernard de Nully
President
