The Antigua Grammar School has received a donation from members of the Form 5 Class of 1999 to support the expansion of its music programme.

The contribution, led by members of Form 5A and Form 5 Alpha, will be used to purchase steelpans for students, according to a statement from the school.

Principal Dr. Jonah Greene thanked the alumni on behalf of the Antigua Grammar School community, describing the donation as an investment in the talents and future of the school’s students.

“Their contribution, which will go towards the purchase of steelpans, is more than a gift of instruments. It is an investment in the talents, creativity, and future of our students,” Greene said.

He said the donation reflects the enduring relationship between the school’s graduates and their alma mater, adding that it demonstrates the commitment of Old Boys to supporting future generations.

Greene also said the gesture embodies the school’s motto, _Semper Virens_ (“Always Flourishing”), by helping to strengthen opportunities for current students.

He expressed gratitude to the alumni for their generosity and encouraged other former students to continue the tradition of giving back to the institution.
