The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda has announced the successful conclusion of the first day of the CHOGM 2026 security simulation exercise.
Authorities said all security barricades put in place for Wednesday’s operations have now been removed, normal access has been restored, and businesses, government offices, and the public may resume their regular schedules.
The three-day Exercise STRONGHOLD continues through July 10 as Antigua and Barbuda tests its security readiness, emergency response capabilities, and inter-agency coordination ahead of hosting the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) later this year.
