Free Reading Glasses Distribution Location Changed to Gray’s Green Community Centre

The Gray’s Green Community Centre will now serve as the second distribution site for free reading glasses under the Prime Minister’s Vision Initiative, replacing the previously announced Gray’s Farm Clinic.

Distribution will begin at the Villa Polyclinic on Friday, July 31, and continue through Aug. 14.

The programme will then move to the Gray’s Green Community Centre from Aug. 17 through Aug. 28.

Services will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Residents 40 and older may receive free reading glasses after undergoing a vision screening and presenting a valid national photo identification card.

The programme is being conducted by the Ministry of Health, Wellness, Environment and Civil Service Affairs in collaboration with RestoringVision.

The wider initiative is scheduled to continue through Dec. 15. Additional distribution locations will be announced periodically.
