Residents of St. John’s City West are celebrating a new academic milestone after successfully completing certificate courses at The University of the West Indies (UWI) Global Campus through a programme sponsored by Prime Minister and Parliamentary Representative for the constituency, Gaston Browne.

The latest cohort of graduates was recognised for completing the programme, which forms part of an ongoing initiative aimed at expanding access to higher education and professional development opportunities for residents.

Prime Minister Browne congratulated the graduates on their achievement, commending them for their commitment to education and personal growth.

“Their dedication, perseverance and commitment to lifelong learning are commendable and serve as an inspiration to others throughout the constituency,” Browne said.

He noted that education remains one of the most effective tools for personal advancement and community development, adding that programmes such as the UWI Global Campus initiative are designed to equip residents with the knowledge and skills needed to improve their future opportunities.

Browne also encouraged more residents to pursue educational opportunities, whether they are young people beginning their academic journey or adults seeking to strengthen their qualifications.

He said continued investment in education is central to empowering individuals and building stronger communities, urging constituents to take advantage of programmes that support lifelong learning.

The Prime Minister concluded by congratulating the graduates once again, describing their success as a reflection of determination, hard work and a commitment to excellence.
