President of the Airport Taxi Association Ian Joseph is heading to Tübingen, Germany, to promote Antigua and Barbuda at the annual African Festival from August 6 to 9.
Joseph, who also serves unofficially as a Cultural and Tourism Ambassador, will represent the country at the event for the third time.
He will highlight Antigua and Barbuda’s African heritage, culture and tourism offerings to participants from Europe, North America, the Caribbean and elsewhere.
Joseph said previous appearances have generated interest in Antigua and Barbuda, including encouraging one person to pursue medical studies in the country.
The four-day festival provides another opportunity to promote the twin-island state in Europe while strengthening connections with the African diaspora.
