The owner of Sammy’s Supermarket on Lower All Saints Road reportedly detained several individuals after they allegedly attempted to rob the business on Wednesday.

According to information received, the proprietor confronted the suspects during the incident and prevented them from leaving, holding them at the rear of the supermarket until police officers responded to the scene.

The individuals were subsequently taken into police custody.

Police have not yet released official details about the alleged attempted robbery, including whether any weapons were involved or if anything was stolen.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
