Six officers from the Antigua and Barbuda Customs and Excise Department have successfully completed the 2026 Caribbean Customs Law Enforcement Council Junior Officer Online Training Course.

The officers are Davier Joseph, Renisha Charles, Takisha Joseph-Shadrach, Maranda Williams, Pauline Mack and Jahvene Charles.

According to the department, the regional training programme covered several key areas of customs administration, including customs procedures, trade legislation, risk assessment, valuation, international trade, ethics and integrity, enforcement and border protection.

The department said the programme was aimed at strengthening the knowledge and professional capabilities of participating officers and improving their ability to carry out customs and border protection duties.

In congratulating the six officers, the Customs and Excise Department praised their dedication, discipline and commitment to professional development.

“Their achievement strengthens our collective capacity to Secure and Serve with excellence,” the department said.

The training comes as customs agencies across the Caribbean continue efforts to strengthen enforcement and border-security capabilities. Regional initiatives have increasingly focused on risk management, intelligence sharing and combating illicit trafficking.

The Antigua and Barbuda Customs and Excise Division is responsible for customs administration and operates under the Ministry of Finance and Corporate Governance.
