Antigua and Barbuda’s Platinum FM, the radio arm of the Pointe Broadcasting Network, has drawn high praise from organizers of the 2026 Caribbean Premier League for its coverage of the tournament’s local fixtures.

CPL’s Executive Producer of Radio Coverage, Raul DeSouza, commended the station’s on-the-ground team for the quality and consistency of its broadcasts throughout the Antigua leg of the tournament, describing the coverage as some of the strongest produced by any territorial partner station this season.

“Platinum FM brought energy, professionalism, and a genuine connection to the local audience,” DeSouza said. “Their commentary team captured not just the cricket, but the spirit of the crowd at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. That’s exactly what regional radio coverage should feel like.”

DeSouza highlighted the station’s ball-by-ball commentary, pre- and post-match analysis, and fan interaction segments as standout elements, noting that Platinum FM’s broadcasts helped extend the tournament’s reach to listeners who couldn’t attend matches in person.

PBN’s management Chairman of the Board Luther Lee and General Manager Eldean Eudelle welcomed the recognition, calling it a reflection of the network’s ongoing investment in sports broadcasting .

With the tournament continuing across the region, Platinum FM is expected to remain a key broadcast partner for the CPL matches, through the remainder of the 2026 season.
