Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of 32-year-old Claudus Richards, a Dominican national residing at Bolans.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, police responded to a report at Jolly Beach, where Richard’s body was discovered unresponsive in the water at Jolly Beach. He was reportedly seen floating face down and was subsequently pulled from the water with the assistance of two visitors who were in the area.
Emergency Medical Services were summoned to the scene, and he was later transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 3:24 p.m.
The Police Administration extends condolences to the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult period of time.
Police investigations into the matter are continuing.
