Dorien Browne

has issued an urgent and emotional appeal for blood donations as he receives care at the

Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre

In a message circulated Saturday, relatives said Browne is in need of blood and appealed to family members, friends and the wider public to come forward and donate if they are able.

“This is a very difficult and worrying time for our family, and we are praying and hoping that we can come together and help him through this,” the family said.

They stressed that people who are unable to give blood can still assist by sharing the appeal with relatives, friends, coworkers and others who may be eligible to donate.

“Family means being there for each other in moments like this, and right now, Dorien needs us,” the appeal said.

The family said every effort to assist — whether through donating blood, sharing the request, making a phone call or offering prayers — would be deeply appreciated.

“Every donation, every prayer, every phone call, and every effort to help means more to us than you could ever imagine,” relatives said.

They are also asking members of the public to keep Browne and the wider family in their prayers as they remain hopeful about his condition.

“We are holding on to hope and believing that, together, we can make a difference,” the family said.
