The president of the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus Guild of Students has donated two standing fans to All Saints Secondary School in Antigua and Barbuda as part of an initiative to improve classroom conditions and support student welfare.
The fans were presented to the school’s LSP 2A1 classroom, where they are expected to provide a more comfortable learning environment for students and teachers.
In a statement Thursday, the Guild said the donation reflects its commitment to community engagement and educational development beyond the university campus.
“A comfortable classroom environment can support students’ concentration and participation in learning activities,” the Guild said.
The student organization emphasized the importance of providing young people with resources that contribute to their academic success.
It also highlighted the need for early support and intervention to help students reach their full potential.
The Guild said it remains committed to initiatives that promote young people’s well-being, educational development and future success.
The donation forms part of the organization’s broader efforts to support communities and strengthen connections between the university and other educational institutions.
