The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda wishes to clarify the circumstances surrounding the arrest of Washington Bramble during a town hall meeting held at the John E. St. Luce Finance and Conference Centre on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
The Police Administration wishes to make it abundantly clear that Mr. Bramble’s arrest was in no way connected to his presence at, or participation in, the town hall meeting. Rather, his arrest was related to an ongoing police investigation into a previous matter at Grays Farm.
Prior to Wednesday’s incident, the police had made several unsuccessful attempts to locate Mr. Bramble for questioning in connection with the ongoing investigation.
The Police Administration remains resolute in its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens and residents throughout Antigua and Barbuda.
The Administration further encourages every citizen to continue supporting and cooperating with members of the Police Force in the lawful execution of their duties, as public cooperation remains essential to effective policing and the preservation of peace and security across the nation.
