Natalie Cameron, the mother of murder accused Clarence Cameron, has described her family’s ordeal as a nightmare, saying the emotional toll of her son’s arrest and detention has been immense.

Clarence is on remand at His Majesty’s Prison for the March 5 fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Omari Graham, a close friend.

The incident reportedly followed a fight involving Clarence’s younger brother, prompting Clarence to intervene.

According to Natalie, Clarence armed himself after seeing a knife stuck in a tree, allegedly reacting to an attempted stabbing by Omari.

“I was shocked… this is a young man I used to feed,” Natalie said recalling the moment she learned Omari had died. She stressed that she supports the legal process but said coping with the situation is “not for the weak.”

She visits her son regularly and said while he appears stable, the uncertainty is weighing heavily on him. “He’s frustrated… it’s no bed of roses,” she said.

Clarence has reportedly expressed remorse, telling his mother he didn’t intend for things to escalate. Natalie urged other parents to speak with their children about walking away from conflict: “Trouble will find you anywhere… once you get into it, it’s problems to get out.”

Clarence is expected to return to court as the case moves forward.
