The Ministry of Health, Wellness, Environment, and Civil Service Affairs wishes to inform the public that the distribution of prescription glasses will continue from Wednesday, October 29 through to Friday, October 31, 2025, at the Ministry of Health Headquarters, High Street, St. John’s.

    Distribution hours are as follows:

    Wednesday, October 29: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

    Thursday, October 30: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

    Friday, October 31: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

This follows the successful commencement of the initiative earlier this week, during which over two hundred individuals collected their prescribed glasses. In total, more than 500 pairs of glasses are expected to be distributed upon completion.

All remaining individuals who were prescribed glasses during the Health Fair held in June 2025 at the Multi-Purpose Cultural and Exhibition Centre are encouraged to visit the Ministry during the stated hours to collect their eyewear.

Persons collecting their glasses are reminded to bring along a valid form of identification.

The Ministry of Health remains committed to ensuring equitable access to healthcare and improving the quality of life for all citizens through ongoing outreach and vision care initiatives.
