The government of Dominica has suspended the processing of citizenship applications from Iranian nationals under its investment programme, according to an official memorandum dated March 23, 2026.

The notice, issued by the Citizenship by Investment Unit, states that the decision takes effect March 24, 2026.

According to the memorandum, applications from Iranian nationals will only be considered if specific conditions are met. These include that the applicant has not lived in Iran for at least 10 years, has no substantial assets in the country, and has not conducted any business or similar activity in or with Iran.

The directive was addressed to authorized agents involved in the programme and instructs them to be guided accordingly.

The memorandum was signed by Gregory McDougall, acting director of the Citizenship by Investment Unit.
