Prime Minister Gaston Browne says the government expects to significantly increase national water output by the end of the year as it continues to address longstanding supply challenges.

Speaking on his weekly Browne and Browne radio programme, Browne said daily production is projected to reach approximately 14 million gallons.

“We will be producing about 14 million gallons of water per day by the end of the year,” Browne said, outlining the administration’s plan to expand capacity.

He said the increase will be driven by ongoing investments in reverse osmosis plants and other infrastructure aimed at improving reliability and distribution across the island.

Browne added that the expanded output is intended to ease persistent shortages in several communities and support growing demand.

The comments come as the government continues to roll out water sector upgrades amid public concerns about supply interruptions and distribution issues.
