Antigua and Barbuda’s passport has been ranked 22nd in the world in the latest Henley Passport Index, maintaining its position among the Caribbean’s strongest travel documents.

The 2026 index, published by the London-based global citizenship and residence advisory firm Henley & Partners, ranks passports according to the number of destinations holders can access without obtaining a visa in advance.

According to the latest rankings, holders of Antigua and Barbuda passports can travel to 154 destinations visa-free or with visa-on-arrival access.

The ranking places Antigua and Barbuda ahead of several larger countries and keeps it among the top-performing passports in the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and the wider Caribbean region.

Singapore held the top spot globally, while several European and Asian countries also ranked among the world’s most powerful passports based on travel access.

The Henley Passport Index uses data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and tracks travel freedom across 199 passports and 227 travel destinations worldwide.

Antigua and Barbuda’s passport ranking is often cited by government officials and investment migration stakeholders as one of the benefits linked to the country’s Citizenship by Investment Programme.
