Award-winning actress Aisha Hinds has arrived in Antigua and Barbuda to take part in the island’s Culinary Month festivities, joining a growing list of high-profile visitors drawn to the destination’s food, culture and tourism offerings.
The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority announced Hinds’ visit in a social media post on Sunday, welcoming the actress and celebrating her Caribbean roots and appreciation for regional cuisine and traditions.
“With her proud Grenadian roots and genuine love for Caribbean food and culture, Aisha’s visit is a beautiful reminder of the connections that unite us across the region — through flavour, heritage, storytelling, and the traditions shared around our tables,” the post said.
Officials said the visit forms part of Antigua and Barbuda Culinary Month, which showcases local chefs, restaurants, food experiences and cultural events across the twin-island nation.
The tourism authority described Hinds’ presence as another opportunity to highlight Antigua and Barbuda as a premier Caribbean destination for cultural and culinary tourism.
Known for her roles in television series including 9-1-1 , Underground and True Blood , Hinds has long spoken publicly about her Caribbean heritage and connection to the region.
