Soca star Patrice Roberts will make another major appearance in Antigua this weekend after delivering a dynamic performance Tuesday night during her return to the country’s Carnival stage.
Roberts announced at the close of her show that she will perform alongside other soca stars at the 268 Breakfast Fete’s “Carnival Deh a Morocco” on Sunday, Aug. 2.
The announcement adds two of soca’s biggest names to an already extensive lineup of regional and local performers.
The event will also feature Menace and Friends, Island Prince and Villain, Shurwayne Winchester, Young Bredda, Benjai and Duane Ta’Zyah, also known as Young Baron.
Antiguan calypso veterans King Short Shirt and King Onyan are also expected to perform together, bringing two of the country’s most celebrated entertainers to the stage.
Roberts’ upcoming appearance follows her well-received performance Tuesday night, marking a strong return to Antigua’s Carnival celebrations.
“Carnival Deh a Morocco” forms part of the 268 Breakfast Fete series, which was established in 1991. Tickets for the event are now on sale.
