Soca artiste Balo has captured the coveted 2026 Road March title after his hit song Bang E Line dominated Antigua Carnival, emerging as the most-played song on the road during the festival.
Official results released on Tuesday showed Bang E Line was played 101 times during Carnival events, comfortably securing the title. The song also placed first runner-up in this year’s Soca Monarch competition.
Finishing second in the Road March race was Soka Villain and Island Princess with Gyal Sidong , which was played 89 times, while Dan Knowledge’s Shake It Off placed third with 74 plays.
Festival organizers also released the official results for several other Carnival competitions.
In the T-Shirt Mas competition, held on July 25, Insane Carnival claimed the championship title. Myst Carnival finished first runner-up, while Rebel Nation secured second runner-up honors.
Results from Monday’s J’ouvert celebrations saw Liberta’s Black Thing awarded First Band on the Road. High Voltage won the First Jam Band title, while RevoBand captured Sweetest Jam Band on the Road.
Chatterbox Company Ltd. earned the Best J’ouvert Troupe title, ahead of Flavor FM’s One Caribbean in second place and Brewmasters J’ouvert Troupe in third.
In the Carnival Monday Wear Large Band competition, Myst Carnival emerged as the winner. Sechuns The Band placed first runner-up, while Insane Carnival finished second runner-up.
Tuesday’s Parade of the Bands concluded with RT Performers Entertainment winning the Small Band category with its presentation, Shimmer and Bling.
In the Large Band competition, Myst Carnival placed second runner-up, Insane Carnival secured first runner-up, and Sechuns The Band claimed the championship after moving up from the Medium Band category in 2025.
Sechuns also successfully defended its Band of the Year crown, finishing ahead of Insane Carnival and Myst Carnival, which placed first and second runners-up, respectively.
The announcement of the results officially brought the curtain down on Antigua Carnival 2026, ending another year of competition, music and masquerade.
