The Antigua and Barbuda Football Association has named a 25-player local training squad as preparations continue for upcoming engagements involving the senior men’s national team.
The squad combines experienced local players with emerging talent, including several players making the transition from the national Under-20 programme into the senior setup.
All Saints United has five players selected — Zafique Drew, DeAndre Bishop, Raheem Deterville, Jayden Martin and Vaughn Jackson Jr.
Grenades is also strongly represented with Elijah Whyte, Jahzihno Ogarro, Shakore Simon, Leroy Graham and Quinton Griffith.
Garden Stars players Tariq Charles, Sadique Adams and Kemoy Walsh have also been called up, while Tyrik Hughes and Dajari Barthley represent FC Aston Villa.
The remaining players are Keon Green of Potters, Akeem Isaac of Pigotts Bullets SC, Shelon Knight of Swetes, Obediah Browne of Old Road FC, Karique Knight of Cayon FC, Zaieem Scott of Green City, Jamour Martin of Potters, Kwame Kirby of FC Aston Villa, Brandon Stachel of Master Ballers and Daryl Massicot of Cavaliers SC.
The ABFA said the selection reflects its commitment to developing homegrown talent and creating opportunities for the next generation of Benna Boys to establish themselves at the highest level of national football.
The squad will continue preparations under the senior national team technical staff, with further announcements expected on training sessions, fixtures and the wider national team programme.
Practice is scheduled to begin Tuesday at 6:30 p.m
