Antigua and Barbuda’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Karen-Mae Hill, has held talks with Kenya’s High Commissioner to the UK, Maurice Makoloo, as preparations continue for the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

According to the Antigua and Barbuda High Commission, Hill paid a courtesy call on Makoloo, with discussions focusing on preparations for CHOGM, strengthening bilateral cooperation between Antigua and Barbuda and Kenya, and Kenya’s participation in the upcoming CHOGM cricket match.

The sporting initiative forms part of activities surrounding the Commonwealth summit. Kenya has also publicly expressed support for the “One Commonwealth, One Team” Exhibition Cricket Match Series being organised ahead of CHOGM.

Hill was accompanied by Citizenship by Investment Unit CEO Charmaine Quinland-Donovan and Third Secretary Caleb Gardiner. Dr. Len Sambili, adviser for Sport for Development and Peace at the Commonwealth Secretariat, also participated.

The engagement comes as Antigua and Barbuda steps up diplomatic and logistical preparations for CHOGM, which will bring Commonwealth leaders to St. John’s from Nov. 1-4.

Hill serves as Antigua and Barbuda’s CHOGM 2026 national focal point and has been involved in a series of recent meetings with Commonwealth officials and international partners ahead of the summit.
