Three Antiguans have been awarded Doctor of Education (EdD) degrees in Educational Leadership from Western Illinois University in the United States.
Dr Sequoyah Survia, Dr Zahra Lake and Dr Tristan Browne were praised by Education Minister Daryll Matthew, who said their achievement reflected both personal commitment and the country’s potential for academic excellence.
“It is always heartening to see Antiguans and Barbudans elevate where education is concerned,” the Minister said. “Their achievements are a testament to hard work and the pursuit of knowledge.”
Dr Survia, Dr Lake and Dr Browne are expected to play key roles in advancing educational leadership and innovation in Antigua and Barbuda.
Minister Matthew encouraged more citizens to pursue higher education, describing it as a vital tool for national development.
