The Ministry of Housing & Works wishes to formally disassociate itself from an article published by Antigua Today on 15th May 2025, titled “Public Works Director Fired.”
We can confirm that no such dismissal has taken place. The information shared is misleading. It is important that dialogue on national infrastructure remain constructive and grounded in fact.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Investment, Civil Aviation and Transportation, the Ministry of Housing & Works responded to a request from the Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority for a qualified engineer to assist with the implementation of the Airport Runway Rehabilitation Project.
The Ministry recognizes the national significance of this project and the critical need for high level technical support throughout its implementation. This effort requires close coordination between local engineering expertise and the external contractors selected to execute the project, safeguarding national interest.
Mr. Aldin Crump, a qualified engineer with over 44 years of experience, was selected to support this initiative and is tasked with ensuring the Government of Antigua and Barbuda successfully completes the project in accordance with all technical requirements.
The Ministry remains focused on its mandate to improve road conditions and deliver sustainable infrastructure solutions. We encourage the public to follow our official pages for verified updates on ongoing projects and developments.
Mr. Aldin Crump remains a respected civil servant, employed by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.
