The Plant Protection Division wishes to inform the general public that, due to ongoing unfavourable conditions at the headquarters building on Upper Corn Alley, there has been a temporary disruption in plant protection services.

These conditions have significantly affected the health and well-being of our staff, and as a result, the Division is taking necessary precautions to ensure their safety.

Despite these unforeseen challenges, the Division remains steadfast in its mandate to advise on and promote the safe trade of plants and plant products. We continue to explore alternative ways to support our stakeholders and maintain our commitment to plant health, trade facilitation, and national biosecurity.

The public is further advised that collection of import permits for applications submitted up to Tuesday, May 20, 2025, will be facilitated on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the usual location. Stakeholders are encouraged to collect their permits during this time window.

We sincerely thank the public for their patience and understanding as we work to resolve the situation. Further updates will be provided as necessary.
