The police have seized an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition during an early morning operation at Bendals.

Around 6 a.m. on Sunday, June 8, a joint team of police officers executed a search warrant on a property occupied by a Trinindadian and Vincentian national. During the operation, the officers discovered one chrome revolver, several rounds of matching ammunition, and multiple items of camouflage clothing. The items were seized as part of an ongoing investigation.

Both individuals were arrested on suspicion of Unlawful Possession of Firearm and Ammunition and were taken into custody.

The police are again appealing to the public to report any suspicious activity and share information related to illegal firearms by contacting the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or anonymously through Crimestoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).
