PLH has outlined proposals linked to its ongoing development project in Barbuda, including plans to build a road corridor connecting Codrington, the airport, the port, River Dock and Palmetto.

Cabinet spokesperson Maurice Merchant said the proposal involves about 5.4 miles of two-lane roadway, with drainage and roundabouts.

Construction, if approved, is expected to take around 18 months and cost about US$12m. The project would be financed by a PLH affiliate at zero interest.

Mr Merchant said Cabinet has not taken a final decision on the proposal. He added that PLH representative Mr Wilshaw is expected to return to Cabinet in the new year with further details.
