Antigua and Barbuda’s hospitality sector is receiving international acclaim, with eight of the country’s top resorts nominated across seven categories in the 2025 World Travel Awards—often described as the travel industry’s equivalent of the Oscars.

The nominations underscore the breadth and quality of the country’s tourism offerings, ranging from high-end all-inclusive properties to boutique hideaways and environmentally conscious resorts.

Leading the national contingent is Curtain Bluff, which secured three nominations. The resort is in contention for Caribbean’s Leading Green Resort, Caribbean’s Leading Boutique Hotel & Resort, and Caribbean’s Leading Luxury All-Inclusive Resort, signalling its broad appeal and commitment to sustainability.

The competition in the Caribbean’s Leading Adult-Only All-Inclusive Resort category features two Antiguan nominees—Hammock Cove Antigua and the newly launched Royalton CHIC Antigua—catering to the growing market for adults-only luxury escapes.

Hermitage Bay, Jumby Bay Island Resort and Curtain Bluff are all shortlisted in the Caribbean’s Leading Boutique Hotel & Resort category, reflecting Antigua’s strength in delivering exclusive, intimate luxury experiences.

Jumby Bay Island Resort also competes for Caribbean’s Leading Luxury Resort, while Hermitage Bay is in the running for the Leading Luxury All-Suite Resort. Curtain Bluff adds to its tally with a nomination in the Leading Luxury All-Inclusive Resort category.

Royalton CHIC Antigua is also nominated in the Caribbean’s Leading New Resort category, marking a strong debut on the regional stage.

Hammock Cove Antigua is featured in Caribbean’s Leading Villa Resort, while Sandals Grande Antigua carries the nation’s flag in Caribbean’s Most Romantic Resort—targeting couples seeking idyllic getaways.

Voting for the awards is open to the public until 10 August via the World Travel Awards website: www.worldtravelawards.com/vote.

Founded in 1993, the World Travel Awards recognise excellence in global tourism and hospitality, with winners determined through votes cast by industry professionals and the public worldwide.
