Police are searching for a suspect involved in a shooting incident that left a 54-year-old woman nursing a gunshot wound to her leg.
The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, 29 June, outside the Now and Later Supermarket.
It was reported that the woman was about to close her business place when she was accosted by an unknown male, who robbed her of an undisclosed amount of money and shot her in her left leg.
The suspect is described as approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and dressed in a grey hoodie pulled over his head.
The victim was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where she is being treated. Medical personnel have also confirmed that her injury is not life-threatening.
