Two teenagers were injured in a shooting late Thursday night on Number One Armstrong Road, prompting police to appeal for public assistance.

The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. when the 17- and 19-year-old victims, from Armstrong Road and Golden Grove respectively, heard loud explosions and saw a man in a black hoodie. They fled the area, only to later discover they had both been shot.

The teens were taken to Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre. The older teen suffered wounds to his ankle and hand, while the younger was shot in the back. Their injuries are not life-threatening.

Police have launched an investigation and are asking anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline at 800-TIPS (8477). A motive has not yet been determined.
