The Genevieve Smith Foundation is proud to announce its donation of two thousand dollars to four deserving students from Potters Primary School, continuing its tradition of supporting academic excellence and community growth. This marks the second consecutive year the Foundation has awarded scholarships, celebrating the ongoing impact of its founder, Genevieve Smith, affectionately known as Teacher Gen.
Teacher Gen has dedicated over 50 years to education, with many of those years spent teaching at Potters Primary School. Her unwavering commitment to the students and the Potters community has shaped generations of learners, especially those facing challenges. Beyond her impactful teaching career, she remains deeply involved in the community, having provided a loving home to over 60 abused and abandoned children throughout her life.
In recognition of her lifelong dedication and to give back to the community she cherishes, the Foundation awards four scholarships annually to outstanding students from Potters Primary School. This year’s recipients, each awarded $500, are:

Jnoure Smith-Kellman, granddaughter of Teacher Gen and representative of the Foundation, stated, “Our family is honored to continue supporting the students at Potters Primary School, where Teacher Gen has devoted so much of her life.
