Antigua and Barbuda’s Curtain Bluff has been named the Caribbean’s Leading Green Resort at the World Travel Awards Caribbean & North America Gala 2025 in Saint Lucia.

The awards ceremony, held on 4 October at Sandals Grande Saint Lucian, brought together the region’s top tourism leaders. Curtain Bluff was recognised for its sustainable practices and commitment to eco-friendly hospitality.

Graham Cooke, founder of the World Travel Awards, praised the winners as “stellar examples of tourism excellence,” while Louis Lewis, CEO of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, said hosting the event had been “an incredible boost” for the island’s tourism sector.

Saint Lucia won multiple titles, including Caribbean’s Leading Honeymoon and Adventure Destinations. Jamaica claimed Caribbean’s Leading Destination, Cruise Destination, and Tourist Board, while the Bahamas took the top luxury island award and Turks & Caicos won for its beaches.

Other Caribbean winners included Saint Lucia’s Jade Mountain Resort (Luxury Honeymoon Resort), Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort (Luxury Resort), and Beaches Turks & Caicos (All-Inclusive Family Resort). In North America, The Surrey in New York won Leading Luxury Hotel, and Four Seasons Resort Lanai was named Leading Luxury Resort.

In aviation, Bahamasair won Caribbean’s Leading Airline, interCaribbean Airways was named for Leading Cabin Crew, and Delta Air Lines claimed North America’s Leading Airline.

Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards celebrates excellence across the global tourism industry and sets the benchmark for quality in hospitality.
