The APUA Water Business Unit advises the general public and all marine operators within the vicinity of the Ivan Rodrigues Reverse Osmosis Plant that installation works are currently underway for a 24-inch intake line extending approximately one thousand feet eastward from the shoreline.

During this phase of the project, the intake line will remain floated until Thursday evening, October 30th, at which time submersion will be completed. Small craft operators are strongly urged to maintain a minimum distance of 1,600 ft east of the plant when navigating from north to south in order to avoid any interaction with the line.

The area will be marked with buoys and adequate lighting to support visibility, for those conducting operations after daylight hours. APUA appreciates the public’s cooperation and understanding as essential improvements to the water system are advanced safely and efficiently.
