Prime Minister Gaston Browne has announced that Antigua and Barbuda’s new Renal Centre is nearing completion and will soon provide expanded dialysis services and facilities for routine kidney transplants.

Speaking on the 44th Independence Day, Mr Browne said the facility will be a centre of excellence, equipped to global standards and accessible to all citizens. He also highlighted other healthcare improvements, including the modernisation of community clinics in Liberta, Falmouth, and Bolans, as well as plans to expand the All Saints Clinic.

In addition, the former Jehovah’s Witness headquarters will be converted into a modern mental health facility, creating a humane and dignified environment for patients.

“These investments in healthcare affirm that every life has worth, and every illness deserves care,” the Prime Minister said, describing the projects as a commitment to both compassion and quality medical services.
