The Nat Pan My Team Community League made a generous donation of essential supplies and mobility aids to Wadadlian Peace Assisted Living on Monday, underscoring its commitment to supporting elderly care facilities across Antigua and Barbuda.

The presentation took place at the Wadadlian Peace Assisted Living facility on Luther George Place in Lower Gambles, where the organization handed over a wheelchair, a walker, and adult diapers. Residents, staff, and executive members of the league attended the small ceremony.

President of the Nat Pan My Team Community League Freston Ireland said the initiative was inspired by the struggles faced by elderly care homes in maintaining consistent supplies due to delayed payments and limited family support for some residents. He said the effort aims to provide meaningful and sustained assistance through donations such as wheelchairs, walkers, canes, shower chairs, bedpans, bed covers, adult diapers, and cleaning items.

Ireland explained that the project was launched after observing that some residents are neglected by their families and that homes often face challenges covering costs on time. He added that the league hopes to continue partnering with local care facilities to ensure seniors live with dignity and comfort.

A representative of Wadadlian Peace Assisted Living thanked Ireland and his team for their generosity, noting that the mobility aids and supplies will significantly improve the daily lives of residents.

Founded in 2003 as a sports and social club, Nat Pan My Team has evolved into a charitable organization that raises funds to assist individuals and families in need. The group has provided food packages, school awards, and building materials for fire victims, and is now finalizing its registration as a community-based nonprofit.

Ireland said the organization plans to expand its outreach to include other elderly care homes, preschools, and daycare centers, while also hosting youth football tournaments and community fundraisers.
