Air quality across Antigua and Barbuda remains in the _“good”_ category this week, with minimal traces of Saharan dust detected in the atmosphere, according to the Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services.

In its latest bulletin issued at 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday, the agency reported that the Air Quality Index (AQI) — based on concentrations of particulate matter PM2.5 and PM10 — ranges between 20 and 50. This places current conditions well within safe limits for the general population.

Officials say no health impacts are expected and no action is required at this time. The alert level remains at **Level I** , the lowest on the scale.

While the Met Service noted that sensitive groups such as people with respiratory or heart conditions, the elderly, and children are generally more at risk during elevated dust events, current levels pose **no health implications**.

The calm conditions are expected to continue until Sunday. The public is encouraged to stay informed through official channels, including the Common Alert Protocol (CAP), the Met Service’s website at **antiguamet.com** , and its social media platforms @abmetservice on X (Twitter), Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. Updates will also be broadcast on ABS Radio and Television.
