Prime Minister Gaston Browne has expressed confidence in the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party’s candidate for the upcoming St Philip’s North by-election, stating that he looks forward to formally welcoming Randy Baltimore to Parliament.

In a social media post shared Thursday, Browne said the ABLP anticipates Baltimore becoming the newest member of the House of Representatives shortly.

“We look forward to formally receiving Mr Randy Baltimore – ABLP’s candidate in the upcoming St Phillip’s North by election, as the newest member of Parliament shortly,” the Prime Minister wrote.

The remark comes as political attention turns to the constituency following the end of Sir Robin Yearwood’s 50-year tenure as its parliamentary representative.

The by-election is expected to test party strength in the traditionally ABLP-held seat, with both major parties signalling strong interest in the contest.
