Police are searching for a truck driver accused of illegally dumping garbage in Parham after residents installed a hidden camera to catch the culprit.

Community members say indiscriminate dumping has plagued the area for months, prompting them to set up surveillance. Footage obtained by Antigua.news allegedly shows a truck arriving heavily loaded and leaving empty. Piles of refuse were later visible where the vehicle had stopped.

Residents expressed frustration over repeatedly cleaning up the area. “This is not a landfill,” one resident said.

St. Peter MP Rawdon Turner condemned the act and called for those responsible to be held accountable. He said such behavior damages communities and undermines national efforts to improve environmental standards, particularly as the country has designated 2026 the Year of Beautification.

Police said investigations are ongoing and are urging anyone with information about the truck or driver to come forward.
