United Progressive Party candidate Alex Browne has intensified campaign efforts in St. Philip’s North, rolling out a week-long schedule of canvassing, public meetings and community outreach activities ahead of the upcoming by-election.
According to a campaign schedule released this week, Browne will canvass all three polling areas daily from Monday, Feb. 23 through Friday, Feb. 27, beginning at 5 p.m.
On Wednesday, Feb. 25, Browne is also expected to appear at Willikies Primary School at 10:30 a.m. for Nomination Day activities before resuming evening canvassing.
A political meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 26 at the Newfield Basketball Court at 7 p.m., following the day’s canvassing efforts.
Campaign activities will continue on Saturday, Feb. 28, with a “Small Business Pull Up / Whistle Stop” event at the Glanvilles Anglican Church Corner at 3 p.m.
The week will culminate on Sunday, March 1, with what the campaign has dubbed “Mobilization Sunday,” with activities planned across all three polling areas beginning at 3 p.m.
The intensified outreach comes as Browne seeks to build momentum in the constituency, with campaign messaging centered on “The Change We Need,” as highlighted in promotional materials.
