    Antigua and Barbuda Announces Team for 39th CARIFTA Aquatics Championships

    The Antigua and Barbuda Swimming Federation (ABSF) is pleased to announce the official team selected to represent the twin-island nation at the upcoming 39th CARIFTA Aquatics Championships, scheduled to take place from April 3rd to 8th, 2026, in Fort de France, Martinique.

    The CARIFTA Aquatics Championships is a prestigious annual competition that has served as a platform for young swimming talent in the Caribbean since 1985. The event will see participation from approximately twenty-eight countries, including The Bahamas, Barbados, the Cayman Islands, Grenada, St. Vincent, Jamaica, St. Lucia, and Trinidad & Tobago.

    Antigua and Barbuda’s delegation will feature a talented line-up of 14 swimmers who have successfully met the qualifying standards to compete in this high-calibre event. The list of qualified athletes by age group is as follows:

    The Head Coach for the team is Wayne Mitchell. He will be assisted by Coach Nelson Molina Fojo, Team Manager Lisa Isaac-MacMillan, and Chaperones Ayedele Warner and Daniela Casmiro. The technical official is Absatou (Afi) Williams.

    The ABSF extends its congratulations to all selected athletes and commends them for their dedication, discipline, and hard work in achieving this milestone. As they prepare to compete on the regional stage, the Federation encourages the nation to rally behind the team and show its support.
