The Ministry of Sports is inviting the public to gather at the airport this morning to welcome home Antigua and Barbuda’s CARIFTA team following their performances at the regional championships in Grenada.

In a social media post, the ministry said the athletes are expected to arrive at 11:30 a.m. and encouraged supporters to come out in large numbers with flags and banners.

“Come to the airport with your flags, your banners, and let’s line the arrival area and show our athletes just how proud we are of them,” the statement said.

The invitation comes as the nation celebrates a strong showing at the CARIFTA Games, with athletes delivering standout performances across multiple events.

Officials are urging the public to give the team a warm reception in recognition of their achievements on the regional stage.
