Antigua and Barbuda Jamaican nationals residing in Antigua continue to face ongoing challenges in accessing and processing essential documents from Jamaica. High costs, delays, and misunderstandings around documentation requirements have significantly impacted immigration and residency applications.

To address these concerns, Caridocs, a Caribbean-based documents processing and immigrant support service, is stepping forward with a structured initiative aimed at improving access and efficiency in the documentation process.

Caridocs operates as a processing agent, assisting clients with the preparation and submission of documents required for international use. The organization does not replace any government agency but works to bridge the communication and procedural gap between applicants and official institutions.

According to principal consultant Nevoy Morrison, one of the major issues affecting Jamaican nationals is not only the cost of obtaining documents from Jamaica, but also a lack of clarity regarding required procedures.

In many cases, applicants submit documents that have not been properly authenticated for international use, resulting in delays, rejections, and additional costs. A key requirement often overlooked is the apostille or legalization process, which must be completed through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade in Jamaica for documents to be valid abroad.

“Many applicants don’t realize that documents must be apostilled before submission. As a result, they are sent back to restart the process, which creates unnecessary delays and expenses,” Morrison stated.

Caridocs has developed a streamlined cost effective process designed to assist applicants in completing requirements correctly the first time, reducing errors and improving efficiency. The service is focused on bridging communication gaps between clients and relevant government agencies.

The organization emphasizes that it is not a government body and does not issue official documents. Instead, it serves strictly as a facilitator to ensure proper processing and compliance with official requirements.

Caridocs will host a Bulk Application Day on June 05, 2026 , from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Villa Polyclinic Conference Room. The session is designed to assist Jamaican nationals in Antigua who require support with document processing and application guidance.

Applicants will have the opportunity to receive assistance in understanding requirements, submitting applications correctly, and reducing delays caused by incomplete documentation.

The organization also cautions individuals against unofficial “back door” offers claiming to provide fast-tracked documents, warning that such services are often fraudulent and may result in serious legal consequences. All legitimate documents must be processed through the appropriate official channels and authenticated for international use.

For a detailed breakdown of application requirements and processing fees, interested persons are encouraged to contact Caridocs directly at (268) 780-8681 or via email at info.caridocs@gmail.com.
