Cycling Community Rallies Around Tahjé Browne After Training Ride Incident

The cycling community is rallying behind national cyclist Tahjé Browne after he was involved in an incident during a training ride on Saturday morning.

In a statement shared on social media, the Wadadli Cycling Academy (WCA) said its thoughts, prayers and full support are with Browne as he begins his recovery.

The academy described Browne as a dedicated athlete who has represented the club, the local cycling community and Antigua and Barbuda with distinction.

“Right now, the race can wait. Our focus is on his recovery, healing, and well-being,” the organization said.

WCA noted that Browne has inspired many young riders through his commitment to the sport and praised his determination and resilience both on and off the bicycle.

The academy expressed confidence that the same qualities that have helped Browne overcome challenges in the past will assist him during his recovery.

“Rest. Heal. Come back stronger,” the statement added.

No details about the nature of the incident or Browne’s condition were released.

Members of the public have been encouraged to keep Browne and his family in their thoughts and prayers as he recovers.
